5 U.S. Banks Each Have More Than 40 Trillion Dollars In Exposure To Derivatives Posted: 26 Sep 2014 05:44 AM PDT WEB Notes: I spoke with a gentlemen the other day and the economy came up. He mentioned things are getting better. When I asked him what has gotten better he said, "just things, people are working". I asked if he has paid attention to the rising cost of items in the grocery store? And if he understood more than 50,000,000 people in this nation are on welfare and that is not including those on SSI, etc. He moved in his seat a bit and said, but the unemployment numbers have fallen. I smiled and said, you have to do some research on that topic. You see, when a person stops looking for work or when they cannot receive any more aid from unemployment they fall off the books and the "numbers go down," but that person is still technically unemployed. He moved some more and said, "no, no that's not how it works". He mentioned that things have gotten much better than 2008 and admitted that he was worried back in 2008, but there was no reason to worry now, "because things have gotten better." I explained to him nothing has changed. The banks were given our tax dollars to save themselves, that is theft from the public and no wise investment decisions have been done at the banking institutions. The new rules will expand an existing program allowing recruiters to target foreign nationals with high-demand skills, mostly rare foreign language expertise or specialized health care training.
