George I just got off the phone with Eric Odom, who is in South Texas with our Border Convoy. Eric tells me that at 4:30 this morning, the members of the Convoy were awakened by heaving pounding on their hotel doors by Texas militia and local Sheriffs and were told they had to EVACUATE the hotel in 10 minutes. The Sheriffs said pro-amnesty cartels had surrounded the hotel and posed an IMMINENT THREAT to the life and safety of the members of our Border Convoy. Let's remember that this Border Convoy is comprised of people like you and me -- flag-waving patriots and soccer moms who love this country and are peacefully touring our southern border to expose the truth of Obama's Invasion. The first goal of our Border Convoy was to EXPOSE precisely how dangerous things have gotten at our border. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. In fact, the danger and the hostility has been far beyond what we expected. In addition to this morning's imminent threat from the cartel: --We have had to cancel events due to death threats. --To disrupt our Convoy, pro-invasion protestors in El Paso forced our vehicles to stop on I-10 and halted traffic for more than a half an hour. --And we know this is all coordinated because pro-invasion protestors were on the scene waving signs within two minutes of the stoppage and Univision cameras were rolling almost immediately. The Convoy is now regrouping in South Texas. The next 24-48 hours are critical and we need your help.
