Fukushima to get 370 tanks for radioactive water

Hundreds of water tanks are to be sent to Japan's crippled Fukushima nuclear plant to hold thousands of tons of water contaminated in the effort to keep its reactors cool, the operator said Sunday. Plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) has sourced 370 tanks with a total capacity for more than 40,000 tons of radioactive water, a company spokeswoman said. Oxfam probes Pakistan flood 'irregularities'

British charity Oxfam on Sunday launched an investigation into "financial irregularities" in their Pakistan flood relief operation. A thick plume of ash from the erupting Puyehue volcano in the Andes shifted direction into Chile on Sunday after spewing volcanic dust over parts of Argentina. Engineers at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant are struggling with what to do with 15 million gallons of contaminated water used to cool damaged reactors.
