Side Effects of Lisinopril: An Overview

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with lisinopril (Zestril®). However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. If side effects do occur, they are generally mild and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare professional. Serious side effects are less common.
- Fatigue
- Body weakness (asthenia)
- Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting when standing from a sitting or lying down position
- Extreme low blood pressure
- Diarrhea
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Cough (see Lisinopril Cough)
- Upper respiratory infections, such as the flu or common cold
- Unexplained rash
- Impotence or erectile dysfunction (see Lisinopril Sexual Side Effects).

- Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
- Extreme low blood pressure
