RECALL: If This Kind Of Flour Is In Your Pantry, It Could Kill Your Entire Family

In response to numerous people across 20 states becoming sick, General Mills, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of three brands of flour.
Gold Medal flour, Wondra flour and Signature Kitchens brands of flour sold between between Dec. 21, 2015, and May 3, 2016, have been recalled due to a possible connection to E. coli bacteria.
Retailers that received shipments of the recalled flour include Safeway, Albertsons, Jewel, Shaws, Vons, United, Randalls and Acme.

A news release from General Mills said the recall was "out of an abundance of caution," as no E. coli had been found in any of its products or facilities.
"To date, E. coli O121 has not been found in any General Mills flour products or in the flour manufacturing facility, and the company has not been contacted directly by any consumer reporting confirmed illnesses related to these products," the release said.
The company also reminded consumers not eat any raw products made with flour. In addition, consumers were also reminded to wash their hands, work surfaces and utensils thoroughly after contact with raw dough.
