Myra, "The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through its head!" It's shocking to think that any veterinarian could proudly kill an innocent cat, let alone post a selfie and brag about it on social media. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened in Texas last week. Sign S.E.'s petition urging the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to suspend Dr. Kristen Lindsey's vet license permanently! Even worse, the woman was wrong about the cat, who is thought to be Tiger, a 6 year old pet tabby that went missing the day the photo was posted to Facebook. The woman lost her job immediately, but it is clear she lacks the proper judgement and temperment to practice veterinary medicine. She should be investigated and barred from practicing veterinary medicine in the State of Texas as an assurance to pet owners and a sign that animal cruelty will not be tolerated. Vets are who we turn to when our beloved pets are suffering and in need of help. I couldn't imagine seeking support from a woman capable of such animal cruelty. We trust our pets with veterinarians every day with the knowledge that licensing boards evaluate candidates carefully for both characters and competency. The thought of leaving our animals in the care of people who will treat them this inhumanely and viciously is terrifying. Veterinarians suspected of animal cruelty should be investigated thoroughly, and their licenses should be suspended if warranted. Such is the case for Kristin Lindsey, who killed an innocent cat. Help seek justice for Tiger, and sign the Care2 petition urging the Texas State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners to suspend her license immediately!
