I frequently send client hair samples for mineral analysis.  Almost all of them live on the east coast of Florida for at least 6 months per year.  What I find in they hair is by no means a cross-section of what might be found in the rest of the country.  Over the past decade I do see an increasing amount of strontium in over 90% of my clients.  Strontium is not a soil-based mineral in this area so it must be either in the air we breathe or the water we drink.  In most towns the municipal water provided is 50% reverse osmosis which would reduce strontium content by near 50%.  So the problem is worse than I am seeing in my hair samples.

My point is that strontium seems to have been introduced into the ecosystems.  While strontium may be considered an essential mineral in normal amounts, it can displace calcium and cause brittle bones.  The accompanying link must be taken very seriously and addressed at town hall meetings.
