March 8, 2014 -- (TRN) According to 2 reports issued by the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, in March of 2011, citizens in the US were hit with deadly levels of radiation, containing airborne particles guaranteed to cause cancer, from the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster taking place in Japan -- and the government never told anyone.
The reports also show the cities of Richland, WA and Melbourne, FL each suffered exposure to the highest levels of airborne radiation - outside of Japan - during the March, 2011 Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant meltdowns. The report proves conclusively that the United States Department of Energy (DOE) knew that people in those areas were being exposed to extreme levels of radiation, and DEADLY "hot" particles, but kept the information secret. We have both reports; now YOU have them too!
The public could have protected themselves by wearing masks and taking potassium iodate pills - for thyroid protection - if we were informed of the situation as it was occurring. Instead, we were left to breathe the radioactive materials and are now likely suffering thyroid damage and cancers.
Former Energy Secretary Steven Chu of California (pictured at right) was in charge of DOE at the time and he is personally responsible for the DOE failing to alert citizens to the danger they were being exposed to, or how to protect themselves.
How bad was the danger? To be very precise, according to the report, radioactive Xenon gas was detected in Richland, WA at four-hundred-fifty-thousand times (450,000) higher than the detection level! The chart showing this appears below (Click the image to enlarge):
According to the report, some lab samples showed one-thousand becquerels per cubic meter of air (1 kBq per m3) and "hot" particles contained in the air showed twenty-million becquerels (20 MBq) of radiation. What does this mean to you? Well, a typical adult male, sitting down and relaxed, breathes about 8 liters of air per minute. That translates to about 960 liters (almost 1 cubic meter) every two hours.
The nuclear industry uses a whole slew of different units-of-measurement when talking about radiation. It can be very confusing. But at least one government, Ireland, keeps it simple by cross-referencing many of those units-of-measurement into understandable terms. The National Reference level in Ireland for radon gas (a relatively harmless, naturally-occurring gas found in homes) is 200 Bq per cubic meter.
If a person in the area of Richland, WA simply sat down, relaxed and breathed the air outside, they received five times more radiation into their lungs in two hours than the government of Ireland says is safe. If there happened to be one or more of those "hot" particles in the air, (you know, the ones with 20 MBq of radiation) that person got lung cancer from it in March, 2011. Some people may have already developed the lung cancer, while others don't yet know they have it. Either way, they got it because no one from DOE bothered to tell them to wear a mask for a few days. Nice folks, the federal government, huh?
Elsewhere in the country, radioactive Iodine-131 was detected in Melbourne, FL higher than anywhere else in the world. Iodine-131, with its 8.5 day half-life, targets the thyroid and is especially dangerous to infants, children and pregnant women. Idoine-131 is so lethal, that radiation-aware people around the world keep potassium iodide (KI) pills stocked in case of its release. KI pills fill the thyroid with a harmless form of iodine and suppresses the absorption of Iodine-131, preventing it from damaging the thyroid.

There you have it; proof that our own government KNEW that huge amounts of deadly Xenon-133 gas, deadly Iodine-131 and deadly Cesium-137 were literally saturating the air and frying people here in the United States . . . . and they never uttered a word about it to warn the public.
They never told anyone to stay inside and keep the windows closed. They never told anyone to wear a mask if going outside. They never told anyone that exposure to these levels of radiation or inhaling "hot" particles would absolutely, 100% guaranteed, cause cancer.
The United States government perpetrated depraved indifference to human life, toward the very people whom they are paid to serve, and toward the very people who fund their operations. What should be done with such a government?
