In an earlier op-ed, the Judge explained why there are grounds for impeachment... "The Framers were so concerned with the potential of presidents declining to enforce laws with which they disagreed that they inserted the word "faithfully" in the presidential oath when describing his enforcement obligations, and then they inserted the oath itself into the Constitution. The inescapable conclusion from this is that the Framers intended American presidents to enforce all of the laws that Congress has written, even those they dislike, even those they condemn, even those that may frustrate their friends, even those that may harm their political interests. [Obama's] preferences surely constitute no less than a perversion of the roles assigned to the branches of government by the Constitution." ++Liberal icon calls for Obama's impeachment. Nat Hentoff is a celebrated civil libertarian and a distinguished voice of the left for many years. Now a columnist for WND, Hentoff says Barack Obama is, "the most un-American president we've ever had." A few days ago, he wrote… "This is the worst state, I think, the country has ever been in...What Obama is doing now is about as un-American as you can get. He has no right to do these executive orders. He's in a position now where he figures he's going to do whatever he wants to do. Obama doesn't even pretend to care about the separation of powers between the Executive branch and Congress anymore, because, he's the boss and hardly anybody cares enough to stop him. So, if this isn't a reason for at least the start of an independent investigation that would lead to impeachment, what is?" Hentoff agrees with Napolitano about one more unfortunate aspect of impeaching Barack Obama… "Neither Congress nor the American public have the guts" for impeachment.
