This is the DEFCON Warning System. Alert status for 2 P.M. Tuesday, October 1st, 2013. Condition Green. DEFCON 5. Condition Green. DEFCON 5. Condition Green. DEFCON 5.
There are currently no imminent nuclear threats against the United States at this time.
Russia and China conduct large scale war games, bringing together long-time adversaries as they consolidate against the West. In the meantime, NATO plans maneuvers in November designed to counter Russian expansion. World favour shifts to Russia and President Putin as Russia negotiates with Syria to give up its chemical weapons and forestall a strike by the United States. This has caused the opinion of many, especially in the Middle East, to see that the United States is an aggressive, hostile country while Russia is the peacemaker.
In Korea, a military communications line has been reestablished between North and South Korea, another sign that tensions are cooling at least slightly between the two adversaries. However, North Korea appears to have restarted its Pyongyang nuclear reactor and experts believe that North Korea's nuclear programme has past the point of no return and that sanctions will no longer prevent the country from developing nuclear weapons.
Iran has recruited Latin American operatives to infiltrate the United States through its porous southern border and lax immigration enforcement. There is currently no sign that the United States will attempt to solve its immigration problem and will continue to allow hostile forces and supplies into the country virtually unchecked.
Tensions between India and Pakistan continue to remain high, though negotiations between the two countries indicate at least some measure of diplomacy is still in the works to keep the area under control. However, India has tested a nuclear capable missile with range long enough to strike Beijing.
The DEFCON Warning System is a private enterprise which monitors world events and assesses nuclear threats against the United States by national entities. It is not affiliated with any government agency and does not represent the alert status of any military branch. The public should make their own evaluations and not rely on the DEFCON Warning System for any strategic planning. At all times, citizens are urged to learn what steps to take in the event of a nuclear attack.
If this had been an actual attack, the DEFCON Warning System will give radiation readings for areas that are reported to it. Your readings will vary. This system serves the Kettle Falls area of Northeast Washington. Official news sources will have radiation readings for your area.
