Boston media is reporting that the second bomber has been found hiding inside
a boat, being stored behind a Watertown home. A neighbor returned home, saw
a hole in the shrink wrap around the boat, saw blood and called 911. Responding
police were fired upon, who fired 4 flash grenades into the boat, as well as numerous
firearms rounds. Media says that police want to take the remaining bomber alive,
however, the broadcast grenade flashes and, what appears to be at least 30 firearms
rounds, has me fairly convinced that the perp must be at least critically injured or
dead. From my experience, having worked in a yacht yard in my teens, and my
firearms knowledge and experience, it shouldn't make any difference, the boat's
construction - aluminum vs. fiberglass vs. wood - .223, .308 will easily penetrate
the hull. My guess is that .45, 9mm will also..
Its now reported that the perp is covered with blood. More later. bruce
