Subject: SUPER BACTERIA PROBLEMS HOT AND COLD WATER LINE PLUS ALL AERATORS AND SHOWER HEADS WHICH ARE DEADLY AND CAN KILL ! Ladies and Gentlemen: ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA THE AMERICAN INDIAN LIVED WITH LITTLE WORRY ABOUT SUPER BACTERIA, THEY NEW NOT TO EAT YELLOW SNOW NOR PICK UP HUMAN FECES OR ANIMAL DUNG ! The Microscope and Medical Doctors or Pharmacists were NOT ON THE PLANET so only the member of the tribe who knew of herbs and foods would make up solutions to solve problems even though some of the people died. Today we have many Microscopes, Doctors and Pharmacists plus we treat water and food in various ways and still people DIE from a known source nearly every day in Florida ---- BACTERIA ! Not the kind killed by the City Water treating water with 3-6 parts per million Chlorine but those bacteria which form when ALL CHLORINE LEAVES THE HOT AND COLD WATER LINES BECAUSE OF STUPIDITY ON BEHALF OF THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY SIMILAR TO SCHOOL CUSTODIANS WHO SHUT DOWN FOR 8 WEEKS WITHOUT RUNNING ANY CHLORINE THROUGH HOT AND COLD WATER LINES OR CLEANING FAUCET AERATORS OR EVEN SHOWER HEADS ! Starting to get clear as a danger ? As one 70 year old State of Florida Certified Plumbing Contractor licensed since 1984 in this County and City, I can tell you that driving daily past Raymond James Stadium sends chills down my spine knowing that the facility is CLOSED, much like the Yankees facilities and Bucs facilities are closed down for weeks at a time, especially during training sessions or games away from home. Each of you with the Sports Authority for Tampa, County Commission and City of Tampa Officials FORGET that chlorine leaves water lines even at the Stadium, Baseball facilities and other areas such as schools in 4 days time if not used PLUS the bacteria colonies strengthen and form on faucet aerators. Go open school without CHLORINE SHOCK OF 25 PPM to the hot and cold water lines FOUR DAYS BEFORE OPENING, without removal and decontamination of shower heads, faucet aerators and you have guaranteed untold numbers of children and adults getting sick from the bacteria cultures KNOWN TO BE THERE. 50 years working in Plumbing or Welding/Shipyards taught me a lot ! Many of you did not really pay attention to the SALMONELLA outbreak in Alamosa Colorado in March of 2008 as quietly UF/TREEO Instructor Les O'Brien, FLAWARN and myself became involved with the Chief of Police for Alamosa finding the problem was not the well used by the City and 50 Miles or so of fresh water without one drop of Chlorine....but the Weber Reservoir where migratory birds and animals contaminated the entire Reservoir where the City of Alamosa withdrew additional water in high use to supplement Alamosa water. Sadly several people Died and many were made sick. The Chief of Police and his officers had to wait sometimes 4-5 days for bathing until we told him to check with Hotels and Motels who would have uncontaminated wells and could allow his personnel to shower if not swim without fear. Yes....Professionals QUIETLY assisted Alamosa Colorado, not for seats, tickets, visits, but to save lives folks. Professionals do that and you rarely hear of anything being said to the Press. I even helped solve the Ixtoc 1 PEMEX problem working at Tampa General Hospital recommending the PEMEX people force lead into the well casing....it worked ! Go to http://www.scribd.com/ralphwhitleysr and see what we told BP about the GULF OIL SPILL.....again professional advice from over 40 years of experience military and civilian. NOW FOR THE SHOCKER AT TSA AS YOU ARE NO DOUBT OVERLOOKING A KILLER IN YOUR MIDST WORTHY OF IMMEDIATE ATTENTION: Like the School Board, your facilities are shut down for long periods of time with NO ONE using the bathrooms, Shower areas, Special Boxes and team locations. Sadly we are only the MESSENGER telling you that those areas are full of Mold, Mildew, Fungi, Bacteria and decontamination is simple, easy and not completed as everyone ASSUMES the water is chlorinated every day even though shut down for weeks like schools. CHLORINE LEAVES THE WATER AND DOES NOT KILL ALL BACTERIA might be a better statement to remember and quickly attack the cause of illness if not death later this year. Those CUTE WATER FOUNTAINS get full of bacteria if not used frequently so guess what the children and adults will actually get inside their bodies drinking water from the water fountains, getting a cup of water, taking a shower and opening their mouth, rinsing off a toothbrush at a sink......UNLESS YOU DECONTAMINATE AND CLEAN THE AERATOR, SHOWER HEAD AND SHOCK THE HOT AND COLD WATER LINES before opening the stadium or buildings/facilities to the public or even your workers. I unscrew my faucet aerators and shower heads then place them in a solution known as 3 percent made up with one ounce of 35 percent Hydrogen Peroxide added to 11 ounces of distilled water......repeat.....distilled water. The solution can be sprayed with a sprayer on any surface to kill mold, mildew, fungi, bacteria plus soaking the aerator and shower heads in same is cheaper than using LIQUID BLEACH and much more effective as it will not stain many items used by teams. Hospitals should use it on all wheelchairs, crutches, beds, tables, chairs, showers, lavatories, floors, walls, ceilings....but that is for another group. Not even JAILS NOR PRISONS use the solution or clean their faucet aerators NOR SHOWER HEADS and many jail cells are left vacant then people move in, get sick and like hospitals may even die.....FROM WHAT ? BACTERIA ! Ruth DeLaMater Bundy and I only drink DISTILLED WATER ! Salmonella was killed with high chlorine shock and normally works. Cryptosporidium or Legionella are another matter worthy of review immediately by professionals in the medical section. Why pay a person several Tens of Millions of Dollars and KILL THEM for failure to realize bacteria thrive when Chlorine is no longer in HOT AND COLD WATER LINES ! What will happen when Children's Parent's realize the School Board in Hillsborough County, Florida shut down the childrens's schools for weeks and did not run Chlorinated Water through lines which filled with bacteria over 8 weeks vacation? Same will occur perhaps at TSA facilities and WHY ? Now is the time to take action, confirm with Bacteria Culture Petri Dish Tests on all faucet aerators, Shower Heads, Drinking Fountains and especially KITCHEN AERATORS used to mix food. HOW LONG TO GET THOSE RESULTS OF A PETRI DISH TEST ? Think about the other City Facilities and especially AFTER SCHOOL AREAS LIKE SWIMMING POOLS AND BUILDINGS CLOSED FOR WEEKS ! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE PATENT ON THIS PROBLEM AS IT IS EVERYWHERE IN AMERICA AND ALL SHIPS, SUBMARINES, BASES, MOTELS, HOTELS, CRUISE LINES, AIRCRAFT SHARE THE PROBLEM WITH BACTERIA IN WATER STORAGE TANKS AND FAUCET AERATORS !
