very short = skimmer at work on coast guard cutter
look at how small the area is that is being skimmed
they need to make a barge size skimmer ship = it could swallow massive leaks thru its bow - use cold temp or pressure to separate the hydrocarbons from the water
it could also have an incinerator for the dead waste and a sampler to see what sea life has been effected and killed and to test the water chemicals - a grate at the front and human and video watchers could keep from swallowing large sea fish or mammals and these barges could be equipped with a sounder to warn off wild life too
a large enough ship could have a on ship critter cleaning station as well
I wonder what the tons of dispersal agent is doing to the wild life too ?
